To An Uncertain Future...

In our current civilization the majority of our energy is created from the harvesting of unsustainable resources which is than provided to the public at a cost. The truth is anything unsustainable eventually runs out. Taking this into consideration, many nations have begun to push towards societies which are less reliant on fossil fuels and unsustainable energy sources to ones which will allow mankind as a whole to last into the unforeseeable future.
In order to better grasp this concept we can look to our levels of energy consumption past, present, and future and do a cross-analysis with energy production trends past, present, and future <insert blurb with numbers and pretty pictures> (woman love the pretty pictures they cannot resist a man who knows how to make a good graph if you know what I mean ;) (finger-gun)) which shows the levels of current energy consumption from the micro (city level) to the macro (international level) and energy production both sustainable and unsustainable. Another thing to take into consideration is the impact of free energy (*I know, speak not of the horror of something that helps to free man of the monetary shackle, don’t worry it's only theoretical...after the upfront cost of infrastructure and modification to the grid it last's like the last word in the twilight saga...) on a society where we have to pay for a resource that is necessary to function. I know it's like, “That’s how the wealthy make money”, true statement: they actually seek out ways to cultivate things which you need to live than make you pay for it, re-occurring payments on air, has anyone monopolized the air market yet or is air still free at Wawa?
This becomes even more troublesome as we stack another card of societal dependence by creating a society dependent on the internet to function (revert back to last statement, hmm..anyone want to start an air business..."Nothing but high-quality air, breath it in."). The “internet” is a huge energy hogwarts. It’s all cool and magical until you find the chamber of secrets than its like this is a nightmare, but my boy harry though straight-up zero-to-hero really quick. But I digress the nuances of J.K. Rowling's international pop-culture sensation actually has very little to do with our inevitable energy crisis.
Now lets get into the nitty-gritty. Take a look at the energy grid, you know all those wires hanging precariously everywhere in older areas and in newer areas buried, but you see the green boxes (transformers) and other places where the grid meets surface in order to provide light into our lives twenty-four seven, literally. Thomas Edison redefined the meaning of darkness. Imagine, if you will, a world in which the only light sources are the original light source “the sun” and fire. Than one day an invention comes which utterly transforms the landscape of human-life forever. I bet you a billion dollars you have at least one lightbulb in your house, but the innovation with a greater impact was the original electrical-grid.
Enough of stroking Thomas Edison’s ego from the future. He was actually a d*** because there was this other dude with a similar idea, Nikoli Tesla. However, his idea about the energy consumption as well as production (radiant energy) was not metered; whereas, Thomas Edison’s was. Understanding the way of the world, guess who the banks backed (The monopoly man himself appears...)? No-brainer, the idea which allowed them to count the kilowatts per hour and than add a dollar amount which created an industry that society would become reliant and enslaved by in order to function. Which means <insert dollar tongue dollar sign eyes emoji>. Oh wait never mind just another thing that I might have had the motivation to research if the Veteran's Affair's didn’t leave me for dead that one time because music service-connection things or is music worthless...
Not like that was important or anything,
